
Soud Al-Buhriy, a self taught Omani photographer who started photography from early school age.
In 1994 he joined the photography club at Oman society for fine
arts and being an active member, he participated in many of the club group exhibitions and shows. Soud also achieved photographic awards locally and internationally.
* 2007, appreciation award in the architectural photo competition at Oman society for fine arts.
* 1996, first prize in Al Kuwait magazine photo contest.
* 1995, appreciation award in the second annual photographic competition at Oman society for fine arts.
In 2006 Soud Al-Buhriy started to work on his personal project of panoramic photography of the capital city of Muscat. The project lasted two years and resulted in a successful solo exhibition in Feb 2008 at Oman society for fine arts, the exhibition contained thirty five unique panoramic images. Some of these images were later in the same year exhibited in Berlin, Germany through ministry of Heritage and Culture of Oman.
Soud has not limited his photography to black and white but also works in color. He believes that photographers should not confine themselves in one particular aspect of photography but should venture in many photographic path and they should always work in broadening they creativity.
